Cohasset Kennel History

Cohasset Kennel was established in 1983. The kennel has been serving the area continuously since then. In March of 2003, the kennel was purchased by Wendy and Stephen Oleksiak. We have the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, kindness and fun! We offer BOARDING and DAYCARE and are the only kennel on the South Shore owned and supervised by a Registered Nurse. We also offer PROFESSIONAL BATHING. The facility is one of the few on the South Shore originally built as a kennel. This allows us to clean and disinfect extremely well. We are located on 3 acres in a country setting. The kennel has a poured concrete base with top quality, safe Mason enclosures.

The kennel has 60 indoor/outdoor runs, 2 playfields and a private cattery. There is air-conditioning and heat in all interior areas as well as an excellent air-exchange system. The exterior runs are 16 feet long, and are covered from the direct elements. This allows us to give your dog maximum indoor/outdoor time.

The outdoor play areas are rectangular measuring 40 feet by 100 feet. The area has a river washed smooth stone base which is a forgiving surface for your dog's delicate paws. In July of 2007 we opened our second location, Duxbury Kennel In The Pines located at 500 Franklin Street in Duxbury.

We encourage prospective customers to come and meet our staff and tour our facility.
